2017 Targeted Research Training (TRT) in Occupational Health Research Fellowships


Applications are invited from eligible candidates in the School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley (UCB), and Schools of Medicine and Nursing, the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), for 2017/18 TRT Research Fellowships.  These Fellowships are funded by an award from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) (3 T42 OH008429, Principal Investigator: Michael N. Bates), Northern California Education and Research Center, and are intended to promote interdisciplinary research training in occupational health and safety.

Each TRT Fellowship will provide:

  • A substantial stipend to cover living expenses.
  • Full in-state fees and tuition
  • Subject to a satisfactory research proposal, including a budget and budget justification, research funds up to $5,000 [Note: the research funds are available only for first-time TRT awardees, not applicants awarded subsequent years of TRT funding].

Applications are due by 5 pm (PST), Friday, July 28, 2017.  Applications should be emailed as a single pdf file to Norma Firestone, nstone@berkeley.edu) or hand-delivered to Ms. Firestone at 761 University Hall, 2199 Addison Street, Berkeley.
