Debbie Shrem, MPH, is a health educator with the Work-Related Asthma Prevention Program in the California Department of Public Health. She will present on green and asthma-safer cleaning. Debbie has led the Cleaning for Asthma-Safe Schools project for 8 years, a project that helps school districts transition to using asthma-safer, greener, and healthier cleaning products, practices, and methods.
Glenn Sherman is the Assistant Director of Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities at Livermore School District. He helped implement green cleaning practices in his school district as part of a Work-Related Asthma Prevention Program (WRAPP).
Laura Medina is the Southern California Regional Director for Building Skills Partnership (BSP), is a unique statewide nonprofit that provides workforce development training to immigrant workers. Laura has been with BSP since 2008; she has led the development and implementation of BSP’s comprehensive service and training model to offer programming such as the Green Janitor Certification, health and wellness, citizenship, and parent education programs.
